Pot Stickers

I just love these! They taste good but it also uses ground pheasant which many folks don’t think to grind the meat up but I will grind and freeze it so I can pull it out for wonderful recipes like this one. The below recipe are for fried pot stickers however they can also be steam.


Pot Stickers

  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce

  • 1 lb of ground pheasant

  • 1 cup of shredded cabbage

  • 1 cup of Shiitake mushrooms

  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 2 green onions, minced white and green parts

  • 3 tablespoons of Hoisin Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon of ground ginger

  • 1 tablespoon of macadamia oil

  • 1 teaspoon of Sriracha, more if you want to spice it up

  • 1/4 teaspoon of white pepper

  • Wanton Wrappers

Mix all of the ingredients together, except the wrappers. Fill a little bowl up with water. Place 1 tablespoon of the mixed ingredients into the center of the wrapper use your finger to dip into the water and moisten the edges of the wrapper. Fold in half to make a triangle and press the edges to seal. Repeat until the desired amount of wantons are made. Heat olive oil with a little sesame oil and fry the wantons in batches until golden brown. Server warm with soy sauce for dipping or the below sauce.


Pot sticker dipping sauce: whisk together 3 TBS of Soy sauce, 1 TBS of Hoisin Sauce, 1 tsp of Sriracha and 1 tsp of sesame seeds.
