Slow Cooking your Whole Pheasant

This easy put it in the pot and let it cook all day can lead to lots of other recipes! Also if you read the whole post you will see that you should never have to buy stock again.


Slow Cooker Pheasant

Place the whole pheasant in the crockpot and fill with stock and seasoning salt.

Let this cook 8-10 hrs in a Crockpot or 1 hour and 30 min in an insta-pot.

Take out and shred the meat, and place the bones in a heavy stock pot.

Now you can use the meat in the recipes listed below or place it in a quart bag with some stock and freeze for later.

Cover the bones with water and let simmer for a couple of hours. Then stain the liquid and you have your very own stock!
