Fall Favorite Crackers

  • 1/2 cup of flour

  • 1/4 cup of ground flax seed

  • 1/4 cup of  almond flour

  • 1/4 cup of dried cranberries

  • 1/4 cup of dates, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda

  • 1/2 cup of oats

  • 1/4 cup of sunflower seeds

  • 1/4 cup of flax seeds

  • 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary

  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric

  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg

  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper

  • 1 cup milk

  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar

  • 3 tablespoons squash puree

Pre heat the oven to 350 degrees.  Spray 4 8 oz mason jars with cooking spray.  Combine flour, ground flax seed and almond flour together and then add in the cranberries and dates.   Rub the cranberries and dates through the flour mixture so they are all separated and dusted with flour.  Mix in the remaining ingredients and then fill the mason jars 2/3 full.  Place in the oven and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick pulls clean.  Let cool for 10 minutes then turn out.  Place in the freezer for an hour then bring out and cut into 1/8" slices.   Turn oven down to 250 degrees and place the slices on the baking sheet and bake for another 15-20 minutes.
